As we shared earlier, we went ahead and made the plunge on a new rug for our office from overstock. This 8 foot by 11 foot rug set us back $185, but it has already proved resilient against our “vomity” cat. This is likely because this rug is meant to be poolside (outdoor), so it is super durable as an indoor rug.

You can see how the current green rug is just too small for the space. Now for the big reveal.

It is rug love! It fits in the space beautifully and the pattern provides a nice modern touch.

Hi, enjoying your site and ideas. I wouldn’t laugh at using a pillow for saving our rears and backs whilst at the computer. My last contract refused my using a swiss ball for OHS reasons(?) even though I have used them for over 10 years both at home and at work. Most office/computer chairs are really bad. Get the best quality ball and save your back.
My husband has now switched to using a standing desk setup and is liking it (except now his feet hurt). We looked into the swiss ball chair and actually just purchased a ball instead (cheaper) and liked it as well. Thanks for the advice.
