Revamp your Jewelry Box with this Redo Roundup

Without doing any research, I made-over a jewelry box for my niece.  When I decided to post about that project, it made me curious to see what others have done with their own jewelry box projects.  In my searching, I found a lot of beautiful ideas. Here is a roundup of the awesome ideas I have found.

IDEA: Use a glossy color like Charity did at All Things Beautiful.

IDEA: Use fabric to add a pop of color to the inside of your jewelry box like Kim at Made In a Day.

IDEA: Do the reverse!  Use fabric to add a pop of color to the OUTSIDE of your jewelry box like Emily from Sisters of the Wild West. (Don’t you just love her blog name? I do!)

IDEA: Monogram it. (and another) IDEA: Replace the velvet like Larissa from House on Harrison.

IDEA:  Keep it simple.  Paint it all one color! These were all created at The Yellow Cape Cod.

IDEA: Replace the knobs like Ashlee did from My So Called Crafty life using buttons.

Or like Carmella did with random jewelry from Creative Carmella. This one sings to me in many notes.

IDEA: Use a stencil (or freehand) to add a design like Lisa from Lisa’s Room by Room.

IDEA: Make it happy; make it you!  Dana at Happy Day Vintage upcycled numerous beauties.  Scrapbooking paper can also be your friend when redoing an old jewelry box.

The real reason for all this research?  I want to redo my own jewelry box!

Make your world beautiful.

  1. Wow! Tons of ideas here! I love them all. Now to do something with my old battered little box. I think I’ll do little buttons for drawer pulls! So cute!
