I never understood why people were obsessed with simplicity until my life become, well, not simple. Then I wanted simplicity; I needed simplicity. I work full time as a teacher at a high school and then I work part time as a teacher online. My commute is an hour long. I just finished working full time as a student in a master’s degree program. These our not obstacles in my life as much as they are reasons why it is difficult. Difficult to be all the things I aspire to be. But these are also the things that help me be what I aspire to be. Again, not simple. Everyone as a different story, but can relate to the complications of life.

I have chose the word “be” as my word of the year. It has implied simplicity. Whatever happens, simply be. Be who you are. Be who you wish to be. Be okay with you. Be okay with your faults. Be aware of your talents.

Enjoy being. (It has a very zen like quality, I know.) Enjoy the moments of life.

This post was inspired by a fellow blogger. Thank you Layla for inspiring others to “be”. You can view her word and others at the Lettered Cottage.

I love your word! “Be” Happy in the new year!
Thank you very much :0). I love your word too! Hopefully “fly” will be my husbands word as well – he’s never been on a plane and I would love to visit Europe one day!
Also, love the Audrey Hepburn dresser. Very chic!
